Blog Tour stop for Identity by Cleo Scornavacca

Title: Identity (Miss Taken #2)
Author: Cleo Scornavacca

Genre: Romance, suspense

…………..People aren’t always who you believe them to be.

Dominick Kane and Rain Medici started their relationship with one another in the most unconventional way.

He kidnapped her.

With the kidnapping now behind them, life returns to normal, right?

Not a chance.

The push, the pull and their fights for control that we’ve come to love about Dominick and Rain still exist. And so does their passion.

People aren’t who you think they are. Familiar faces are not so familiar. The past and the present collide, opening up all of those old wounds and struggles once again.

Now, everything you thought you knew, gets blown out of the water.

Can Dominick and Rain finally heal what’s broken? Or will new discoveries push them even further apart.

Will love win out and bring them back together? Or will ghosts of the past ultimately destroy their love once and for all……………..

This book was a cute ending to Dominick and Raven's story. It also gave us some clues to find answers to in book 3. I wasn't expecting some of the events and I love that. It's wasn't one of those books where you can guess the answer before u even get to that part. Dominick finally got his shit together and seemed a lot more happy and less lost by the end of the book. Now if only I didn't have to wait until book 3 was out.
There are some spelling and wrong word usage but other than that I enjoyed the book...

As far back as I can remember, I've loved books. I love reading them and finally, I've admitted to myself that I love to write them. Since the day I started to write Rain and Dominick's story, I've never looked back.

When I write, much of the time the story plays in my head as a movie and sometimes even includes background music. We can all use a little background music. I try to add elements of things I love. And share them with the readers. I'll continue to create characters and stories that you can laugh, cry, love, hate and even become slightly crazy about. Let's face it, we can all use some crazy every now and then.

Cleo is a wife and mom. She is an aesthetician and make-up artist and has worked for companies such as Bobbi Brown, Princess Marcella Borghese and MAC cosmetics. Besides writing and loving to read everything romantic; she has a healthy obsession with the Jersey Shore and loves to go there to write every chance she gets.

Excerpt

The empty notebook page stared back at me, making my restlessness worse. I chewed on my pen, another nervous habit of mine, as the instructor blabbed on about study guides and scheduled quizzes. This morning had gone so far off track, I wasn’t sure how to recover.

I shifted casually in my seat, acting like I couldn’t get comfortable. Honestly, it was to sneak looks at Ryan. Leaned back into his seat, one arm draped over the back of his chair and the other resting on his leg, his bad boy demeanor on full display. He was so confident in himself, so comfortable in his own skin.

I sighed quietly and shifted in my seat again, glancing over at him. He looked like the perfect student, until I noticed a smirk forming. He ran his tongue over his bottom lip and nipped at the side of it with his teeth. Without looking at me, he reached into his bag and held out a piece of paper. It was his schedule.

Keeping his eyes down, he leaned into me and whispered, “Why don’t you look to see if we have any other classes together? You’re making me self-conscious with all that staring.”

A small gasp slipped from my lips and it felt like the floor dropped out of the room. Not only had I been caught, but he called me out. Somehow this morning just got worse.

I reached for the paper but he grabbed my hand. Amusement flared in his blue eyes as he pulled me toward him. He was enjoying my embarrassment a little too much.

“And please, a favor? Stop twirling that pen around in your mouth like that. Unless you have an evil plan to make me, and every other guy in here, fail this class miserably.”

My shoulders slumped as I tried to fight back the humiliation that rolled through me. I looked away immediately and hid my face behind his schedule. He chuckled as he leaned back into his chair, the sound of it warmed my heart.

About The Author

If they’d known about ADHD when I was little, my Ritalin dosage would’ve been OFF THE CHARTS!!

It goes without saying; I spent A LOT of time by myself after the teacher moved my desk out into the hallway. ** Silver lining**  With all that alone time on my hands, I used my imagination to make the world interesting.

When I was little, people said I had an "active imagination". In elementary school, teachers called me a "daydreamer".  My high school counselor said I needed to “learn how to focus" and my college professors warned me to "buckle down".  Before I knew it, it was time to “grow up”.

So that’s what I did. I grew up, got married and had five kids. I work as a full time nurse, active in my church, part of the most amazing book club, blog about books with my best friend and cart small humans to school, football, theater, dance ect. Oh yeah...and write a bit when I can and now people say I’m "talented".

Moral of my story: Hug your kids, embrace their differences… love them for who they are. Someday, the traits you think are struggles now…Might be what makes them the happiest!

Micki lives in small town Iowa with her husband, kids and a fat Cocker Spaniel named Joey. She is the author of Winds of Darkness, released in February of 2013 and Chasing Jenna, to be released Thanksgiving Day, 2014.

During Wasted Circle’s first big show, tragedy strikes leaving Dee alone. The life her and Josh planned for ends up being nothing but desolate promises. Adam kneels down beside me and hands me his phone after hitting play. I look at the screen and feel my lips tug when I see his face flash onto the screen. “This is for you, Dee,” Adam says from the phone so I look back at him and he grins so I turn my attention back to the phone. I watch him walk through the grocery store and only stops when he finds a young male associate; poor kid is probably in his late teens and has no idea what Adam is up to. I have no idea what Adam is up to but I feel for the kid because Adam can be downright devious. “Excuse me,” Adam calls out and the boy turns his attention to Adam. “Do you know where I can find nipple butter?” The camera shakes a little but I see the boy look around. “What kind of butter?” “Nipple butter.” The boy laughs. “Say that again.” “Nipple butter.” The camera shifts and I see a blurry Adam run his finger in circles over his nipples. “You know, for your nipples.” The boy laughs again and I feel my body shake in laughter as well. “For your nipples?” “Well not mine.” I look back at Adam and find him watching me. He’s so sweet and cute. “I don’t know what nipple butter is, man.” The boy looks around the store but I can see he’s laughing. “Can you find out?” Adam asks, leaving no room for him to say no. “Uh, yea.” I lean my body against Adam and chuckle as the camera follows Adam’s paces throughout the aisle. After a long time, the boy returns and shows Adam where to find it. I see Adam’s hand hold up the cream and wiggle it in front of the camera. “My nipples thank you.” I lose it. I very literally lose it as I start to shake from laughter. I feel Adam laugh with me and for just a moment I forget that I’m sad.

Black_scroll_with_transparent_background 3   Black_scroll_with_transparent_background 3 Author Bio   Yessi Smith

I'm a Hispanic living in South Florida with my redneck husband from Texas and our "half breed" son, who is actually the reason I started writing again after years of celibacy. My son loves stories, but not the kind you can read in an existing book. No, he'd rather make up a story, complete with our own illustrations. So, thank you, Son, for igniting a flame I had let go out. I also live with two dogs: a neurotic Border Collie we call Nitro and a midget Rottweiler named Nisa. I have always found my sanctuary at the beach and in music and writing. I wish I could write rhymes so I could become a famous rapper, but rhyming is completely lost on me. My son surpassed me in the rhyming game by the time he was four. This is something I am very proud of. I have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a Master's in Human Resource Management. I have held several jobs, from picking up dog poop to upper management positions. And now I am hoping to leave the business world behind so I can live full time in a world that does not exist until I place my fingers on a keyboard and bring them to fruition. I published my first book Life's A Cappella last year.
